At FAB, we continue our annual climate and carbon reporting to CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) in order to strengthen our sustainability targets, manage our climate change risks and identify new opportunities within this field.
CDP is an international non-profit that enables companies, cities, states and regions to measure and manage their environmental impacts. Over 6,300 companies with some 55% of global market capitalisation disclosed environmental data to CDP in 2017 for independent assessment against its scoring methodology, which evaluates a company's awareness of environmental issues, its management methods, and progress towards environmental stewardship.
FAB’s climate change response to the global environmental disclosure platform, CDP resulted in an A- score for 2017, moving from Management to Leadership level for the bank’s commitment to address climate change and reduce its climate impact. We will also monitor and manage the environmental impacts of our buildings through the development and implementation of an internal environmental management system (EMS) based on the requirements of the ISO 14001:2015 international standard.
